Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah are locked in a close contest for the Premier League Golden Boot.
The latest: Haaland re-established himself as the Golden Boot favourite after scoring four goals in as many matches for Manchester City. Right behind is Salah, who is on pace to break his career-high 32 goals scored in the 2017-18 season.

Best Premier League Golden Boot odds
The favourite: Erling Haaland (-112)
Haaland remains an elite striker on one of the best attacking teams in Europe and is the reigning Golden Boot winner.
He has 17 goals (second-most) on 18.3 expected goals and also averages a whopping 4.1 shots per 90. With that said, he's a -112 favourite to defend the award.
The Norwegian superstar's 36-goal 2022-23 campaign broke the EPL single-season record.
Returning to good form, Haaland has racked up four goals in his last four league matches, including a brace against West Ham.
However, against top defences, he's been prone to scoreless games with City's struggles to create open-play chances.
Greener pastures are ahead for Haaland who should find more scoring opportunities with Pep Guardiola in charge and playmakers Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden in top condition.
Other Golden Boot choices
Best value: Mohamed Salah (+100)
Liverpool is on the path of shocking the world this season and Salah is at the helm of it all.
The Egyptian forward is scoring at an incredibly high rate with goals in 16 of 21 domestic matches. He leads the league with 18 goals and 13 assists.
It wouldn't be foreign territory for Salah to win the Golden Boot award. He's a three-time winner, scoring the most or joint-most goals in the 2017-2018, 2018-2019 and 2021-2022 seasons.
Salah continues to serve as the engine of Liverpool's attack and could overtake Haaland once more if Manchester City's struggles persist.
