The Masters is a long ways away but it's never too early to get a bet down.

The latest: Scottie Scheffler is the reigning champion and just capped off a historic season with the FedEx Cup title. He's favoured to win a third green jacket with contenders like Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele right behind.

Here are the latest 2025 Masters odds.

The favourite: Scottie Scheffler (+500)

For a brief moment on the second Sunday of April, it looked like we could have a new Masters champion.

Scheffler held a slim lead over Max Homa, Ludvig Aberg and Collin Morikawa, who were all charging up the board. But each of those players made crucial mistakes while the Texan flawlessly navigated his way around Augusta's back-nine en route to his second title.

That ended up being his third win in a season where he would take home eight PGA Tour victories and an Olympic gold medal.

With that said, you can't really argue against Scheffler being favoured to defend his title.

He's the best ball striker on earth and has never finished outside of the top 20 in his five starts at Augusta.

The saying "horse for course" might be overused, but Scheffler is a stallion here.

Masters betting notes

  • Schauffele finally broke through on the biggest stage. The Official World Golf Ranking's No. 2 player won the PGA Championship and the Open Championship to pair with a T8 at the Masters and a solo seventh at the U.S. Open. He was the only player to finish top 10 in all four majors and has four top-10 finishes in his last six starts at Augusta.
  • McIlroy will be a story every Masters week. The green jacket has eluded the four-time major champion, who hasn't won any major since 2014. He came so, so close at the U.S. Open but missed two short putts in the last four holes to lose by one stroke to Bryson DeChambeau.
  • Jon Rahm's 2024 major season was a disaster. He finished T45 at the Masters, missed the cut at the PGA and had to withdraw from the U.S. Open. But he did net a T7 at the Open before putting together a strong run of results on LIV and has won here before.
  • Aberg probably had the best chance of downing Scheffler but ultimately came up short in his Masters debut. That was one of the Swede's four runner-up finishes in 2024. The talent is there for him to contend for years to come.
  • Corey Conners (+8,000) has the shortest odds of any Canadian on the board. He has three top-10 finishes at the Masters and was very consistent in 2024, making the cut in every start thanks to some elite ball striking.
