THE TERMS
These terms and conditions apply to the NorthStar Blackjack Open. This promotion is also governed by the NorthStar Bets Promotional Terms and Conditions, which can be found here.
OVERVIEW
Earn increasing points on our NorthStar Blackjack Open leaderboards for consecutive wins while playing any Blackjack table during the promotion period to qualify for rewards based on your finishing position!
THE PROMOTION PERIOD
The promotion runs from August 29, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 14, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

QUALIFYING ROUND LEADERBOARDS:
- Week 1 Opens on August 29, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 4, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
- Week 2 Opens on September 5, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 11, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
- FINAL ROUND LEADERBOARD: Opens on September 13, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 14, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
You must be a registered NorthStar Bets customer to play in the Open. Once you have registered, login to your account at Northstarbets.ca or the NorthStar Bets Ontario app and opt in to the NorthStar Blackjack Championship leaderboard promotion, start playing Blackjack with hands of $5 or more during the promotion period to qualify for rewards.
PRIZES
Weekly Prizes: The top ten (10) players at the end of each week will receive rewards as follows:

Qualifying for the final round: The top twenty (20) players at the end of the Qualifying Round (August 29 – September 11, 2025 will secure a spot in the final round that will run from September 13th to 14th, 2025.
Final Table Prizes: Twenty (20) finalists will compete head-to-head for the Grand Prize and additional payouts. 1st Place: Choice between a cruise voucher for two (2) (with included spending money in the amount of $1,500 CAD) valued at approximately $6,500 CAD, an airline voucher valued at approximately $2,000 CAD (total approximate value of 1st place price: $10,000 CAD based on sample Toronto departure) or a $10,000 CAD cash prize. If the cruise prize is selected, the specific cruise itinerary and dates will be at the discretion of NorthStar Bets, however, arrangements will be made in consultation with the winner to ensure a mutually agreeable schedule.
NorthStar Bets reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of greater or equivalent monetary value if a prize or any aspect thereof cannot be awarded as described for any reason.
NorthStar Bets will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. Any other costs or expenses associated with the prize not specified herein including without limitation meals, communication charges, room service, gratuities, optional tours, insurance and medical travel documents, transportation and transfers will be the responsibility of selected winner. NorthStar Bets will not be responsible if winner is denied entry onto cruise ship, into the destination, or return entry into departure point. In such a situation, the winner will be solely responsible for any and all additional costs incurred. Cruise prize may be subject to further terms and conditions.
2nd Place: $2,000. 3rd Place: $1,000 cash. The 4th – 10th place will receive bonuses ranging from $800 - $100. Full prize breakdown below.

Weekly Prizes will be paid out by 12:00 ET each Friday after the previous week has ended. All prizes for the final round leaderboard will be paid automatically at 12:00 ET September 15, 2025, except the grand prize which will be arranged with the winner after the final leaderboard ends.
THE SCORING SYSTEM
Players earn increasing points for consecutive winning hands of Blackjack with bets of $5 or more during the promotion period. Only cash bets qualify, bets using bonus balances or golden chips do not qualify.
Points are earned as follows:

If a player loses a hand, their streak resets, and they begin accruing points again starting with 2 consecutive winning hands.
If a player finishes on the same points as another player, a tiebreaker is used to decide who has the higher position on the leaderboard. Tiebreakers are applied in the order of the below priority:
- The player who achieved the points with the fewest total winning hands, receives the higher position on the leaderboard.
- If the above is also a tie, then the player who reached those total points first is given the higher position on the leaderboard.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE PRIZES?
- The cash prizes need to be accepted within seven (7) days.
- There are no wagering requirements for cash prizes.
- Players have 72 hours to accept Casino Bonuses before they are removed from accounts.
- Casino Bonuses must be played through 20 times to release the funds as withdrawable cash.
- Once accepted the bonus is available for seven (7) days.
- Different game categories have varying contributions to the bonus wagering requirements.

Players can fulfil the wagering requirements to convert their promotional balance to cash as follows:

- When wagering, cash balances are utilized and drawn down first followed by the bonus balance amount.
- Players have the option to cancel the bonus, including any bonus winnings, by accessing Casino Bonus History under My Account.
- Withdrawing cash before fulfilling the wagering requirements means the remaining bonus balance, including any pending winnings, will be forfeited.
ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
- Players must only be individuals who are legal residents of Ontario and physically located in Ontario.
- Consecutive Qualifying Wins streak is defined as sequence of Qualifying wins by a player without any losses occurring between them.
- Qualifying win is calculated as total win (win + stake of the winning bet) across all seats divided by total bet across all seats taken by a player. If a player receives a win (win + stake of the winning bet) within one (1) game round that is exactly equal to one time (1x) of the total Qualifying Bet, the game round will not be considered for the score calculation or considered a win. The above calculation is used to account for side bets, splits, double downs and pushes also.
- If a player has a consecutive win streak and receives a win (win + stake of the winning bet) equal to one time (1x) of the total Qualifying Bet, the Consecutive Qualifying Wins streak will be broken and player will earn points equal to that streak. Customers will then restart their Consecutive Qualifying Wins streak with a new win that is more than one time (1x) of their Qualifying Bet.
- If a player fails to have a qualifying win, this resets their streak and they will earn points relevant to their highest consecutive win streak before that loss.
- Customers who choose to leave a leaderboard will forfeit their accrued rank and points upon leaving.
- Bets placed on all Blackjack tables except IGT Blackjack & IGT Blackjack with Surrender qualify for the promotion.
- Players must have a minimum of 10 point to be eligible for a prize.
- In extenuating circumstances, payout of this promotion can take up to 72 hours.
- NorthStar is not responsible for technical or other errors howsoever caused.
- NorthStar Bets has the right to withhold or deny prizes, if a player is in breach of the Terms & Conditions of the promotion and other Terms & Conditions of the site.
- NorthStar Bets reserves the right to amend or cease this promotion at any time. NorthStar Bets also reserves the right to exclude any customer from this promotion should they be determined to be attempting to abuse the promotion, or if they breach the Terms and Conditions, or NorthStar’s Promotional Terms and Conditions.
